Jakes can be found in the centre of the historic Spa town of Harrogate. Having recently celebrated their 2nd anniversary, Jakes has established itself as a must visit destination for locals and tourists alike. Homemade cakes and patisserie are piled high in the window, making it impossible to walk on by without stopping for a sample. These delights can be accompanied by a freshly ground cup of their delicious coffee. Coffee is important at Jakes. Espresso is ground to order to ensure the ultimate in freshness and staff are allowed nowhere near the San Remo machine until they are fully trained barista’s.

The historic building, circa 1814, housing Jakes has been divided into three individually designed rooms. The family lounge is large enough for private parties, (you can book this with no room charges). This is a great space for catching up with friends and children are made welcome. They have their own menu to choose from and a train set to keep them entertained, leaving you free to enjoy lunch. The bar features quirky furniture and is the perfect spot to savour one of their many Italian wines or to enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif. The restaurant is a pure taste of Italy, large, noisy and bustly.

Above all else what Jakes offers its customers is quality. Owners, Suzanne and David Knowles are passionate about their business and it shows. Their staff trained in every aspect, are warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. Raw ingredients are sourced directly from the best Italian and local Yorkshire producers. The food is true, authentic Italian and is perfectly complimented by the carefully selected and sensibly priced wine list. Open 7 days a week Jakes can be enjoyed at all times. CREME DE LA CREME - Harrogate's only established womens business networking group are holding their monthly meetings at Jakes. Meeting the 2nd Wednesday of each month with the next session to be held on WEDNESDAY 13th JUNE. This is a mix of open and structured networking accompanied by Jakes artisan platters and drinks
