Sandbar first opened its doors in 2001 and as the first café bar to open on Horsforth’s Town Street heralded the way for many more to follow in its successful footsteps. In 2005 they extended and created further seating around the new mosaic waterfall bar and a great garden terrace to the rear. Sandbar is a venue which truly offers something for everyone. By day you can indulge in a hearty all day breakfast or treat yourself to any one of their fabulous cakes and freshly ground coffee. Afternoons can be whiled away, sunning yourself on the garden terrace, which is covered and heated for those days when the sun is not behaving. Night times are cool, laid back chic where you can enjoy their mellow tunes over a bottle, (or two!), of wine. Their live music events are not to be missed when you can be the first to listen to some of Leeds’ up and coming talent, keep an eye on our venue news page for more information on when these are happening. Weekends welcome their resident DJ’s who will take you on a rhythmic tour through soul, rock, funk and jazz, you can strut your funky stuff or simply toe tap the night away.

There’s just so much going on at Sandbar that we know it will soon become a regular favourite with those of you who have not yet visited.
